👉 SEC May Allow Bitcoin ETFs To Begin Trading Next Week

Bloomberg has reported that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) "isn't likely to block" Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) products from beginning to trade next week.

Bolstering the credibility of the claim was a statement made by the SEC's investor education Twitter account, that encouraged consideration of the risks and benefits associated with "a fund that holds Bitcoin futures contracts".

👉 Flow Blockchain Taps Filecoin For Decentralized NFT File Storage

The Flow Blockchain has partnered with Filecoin, in an effort to provide decentralized storage of non-fungible tokens NFTs) minted on the network.

By using Filecoin, Flow network users will finally be able to remove centralized storage entities from the equation – a consistent point of contention in the NFT world.

👉 Belarus To Charge Crypto Miners With Data Center Electricity Tariffs

Belarus has grouped cryptocurrency miners into the same category as data centers for electricity tariffs, which may result in increased mining costs.

The category is further split-up in five sub-groups, which differ by how much electricity they consume. The groups range from 25 million kilowatt hours to 500 million kWh per year.
