The very first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States is due to begin trading tomorrow, on the New York Stock Exchange.

ProShares' Bitcoin futures ETF was greenlighted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday last week, leading to a BTC price surge.

The ETF is linked to Bitcoin futures contracts that currently trade on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Jack Dorsey Says Square Is Looking To Enter Bitcoin Mining

Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has stated that Square is looking to enter the Bitcoin mining sector, building its own mining system.

The system is to be open-source and based on custom silicon, adding to the company's existing Bitcoin projects โ€“ an open developer platform and a hardware wallet.

The total cryptocurrency market cap has eclipsed its previous all-time high, once again reaching $2.6 trillion, according to CoinGecko.

The market surge has been led by Bitcoin and Ethereum, with a total of 9819 assets now contributing to the total market cap figure.
