👉 US Congress To Hold "Demystifying Crypto' Hearing

US Congress will be holding a hearing this month regarding digital assets and the role that government will play in the sector.

The hearing, titled "Demystifying Crypto", will be hosted by the Joint Economic Committee and involve crypto industry experts, as well as US lawmakers including as Senator Rob Portman and Senator Ted Cruz.

👉 Binance Exchange Looking To Open Headquarters In France

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is looking to acquire digital asset service provider status in France next year, with the possibility of a regional or global head office in the country.

Binance has previously created a $116 million research hub and accelerator in France in partnership with French Fintech, a non-profit company.

👉 European Central Bank Hires Digital Euro Program Manager

The European Central Bank (ECB) has hired ING global director of payments, Evelien Witlox, as its new program manager for its digital euro.

The position, commencing next year, will work on the investigation phase of the ECB's central bank digital currency project, working on design and distribution of the currency.
