👉 Crypto Markets Lose $26 Billion as Oil Prices Tank

USD$26 billion in value has been wiped off from the total cryptocurrency market cap, as Bitcoin fell 10% in 24 hours yesterday.

Oil prices, however, saw their largest fall in almost three decades, plummeting by 30%. Although markets had already turned, the drop was further catalyzed by an OPEC agreement failure.

IOTA Founder David Sønstebø has pledged to personally reimburse the 46 victims of the recent IOTA hack, amounting to almost USD$2 million in losses.

The hack occurred in mid-February, affecting the cryptocurrency's official desktop wallet. The IOTA network has remained down since the hack.
