The same lawyers who successfully sued Craig Wright are behind a lawsuit suing Bitfinex and Tether for more than $1.4 Trillion.

The case describes the creation of a sophisticated scheme to defraud investors and manipulate markets, as well as conceal illicit funds.

👉 Bitwise Head of Research Believes We’re Close to a Bitcoin ETF

Matt Hougan, head of research at Bitwise Investments, has stated on CNBC that he believes we are closer than ever to seeing a Bitcoin ETF be approved.

Bitwise has their own Bitcoin ETF up for review by the SEC, which is to be approved or declined by the 13th of October.

Hougan expects the rise of regulated and insured custodians such as Fidelity and Coinbase to assist with winning the SEC’s approval.

👉 Crypto Donations to Japanese Election Campaigns Need not be Reported

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan has stated that election candidates do not need to report specifics such as amounts or sources of funds which are raised in cryptocurrencies.

Such reporting requirements traditionally exist for funds raised in almost any other form, including fiat, stocks, and even bonds.
