Part of the US Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service is assigned with the task of investigating financial crime, as well as protecting the country's leaders. Coinbase previously wanted to sell the software to both the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), but have not yet received contracts from the agencies.
