Sweden's central bank is launching a pilot project to test a solution for the e-krona, their digital currency.

There is no definite decision to eventually release the e-krona, however the pilot will provide valuable data on the viability and usefulness of the project.

The pilot will run for almost an entire year, until February 2021.

An CNN interview with Ripple has revealed that the company's remittance platform processed $54 million worth of XRP in transactions in the first week of this month, from the US to Mexico.

Ripple had partnered with Bitso, a Mexican cryptocurrency exchange, to facilitate XRP settlements in the country. Using cryptocurrency has greatly reduced transaction time and fees.

Norweigan Air customers may soon be able to purchase flights with crypto, thanks to infrastructure built by Norweigan Block Exchange (NBX).

The companies appear to have a good relationship, in fact the NBX CEO is the son-in-law of Norweigan Air. The new feature is due to launch later this year, as early as spring.
