👉 White House Links Crypto to Crime and Terrorism

The White House's new 2021 budget proposal has recommended having the Secret Service operating underneath the Treasury, in an effort to investigate crime relating to cryptocurrency.

Both references to cryptocurrency in the proposal link it to crime, namely money laundering and terrorism.

The implications of the move for the wider cryptocurrency market are unclear, but will be closely watched in the coming year.

👉 iTrustCapital to Enable Users to Trade Crypto in Personal IRA

iTrustCapital has announced a new platform, which will enable individual retirement account (IRA) users to trade cryptocurrency with their funds.

They also claim that users will be able to trade precious metals, all while remaining compliant with IRS regulations.

👉 Analysts Estimate Four Firms Will Control Entire Mining Industry EOY

A report by Tokensight has estimated that four firms - Bitmain, MicroBT, Canaan, and Ebang - will eclipse 98% of the Bitcoin mining market share, by the end of 2020.

The increase in market share is said to be attributed to a network effect, which will build upon an already dominant position by the companies.
