Buc-ee's has a site for Lafayette. The process has begun.

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Welcome to the Friday edition of the Acadiana Business Newsletter. This one is spicy. Let's get to the headlines....

I've got a big breaking one this morning on Buc-ee's making it all but official that it will open a Lafayette location. I and other news outlets reported on this before, but it was nothing more than chatter.

Now the convenience store chain that everyone loves has paperwork filed with LCG to locate at the Louisiana Avenue exit along I-10, just not where we all thought it was going to be in my earlier reporting.

This is definitely big news and something you'll see repeated by other media outlets later today. I'm going to follow this and come back with a deep dive on this intersection later this month.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading.
