Colombian Government filed the tax reform bill before Congress: here are the main topics.

The much anticipated tax reform addresses the effects of the pandemic and seeks to strengthen the poverty eradication policy by redefining the fiscal rule and focusing social spending and redistributing tax burdens. It is now time for Congress to decide on the outcome of this bill and shape the tax scheme to be applied in the foreseeable future.

Updates to the custom regime seek its competitive development

Decree 360 of 2021 makes substantial amendments to the customs regime by, among others, creating a new customs class and implementing adjustments aimed at customs facilitation such as facilitating e commerce and increasing the number of support documents for imports.
