Non-mining exports grew 25.9% in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2021.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through the economic studies office, released the results of exports for the first four months of the year. Exports for this period were USD $7,183 million, 25.9% higher than the same period last year. The results of exports in the agricultural and food sectors, as well as vehicles, clothing, footwear and paper, stood out.

Law approving the convention on international recovery of child support (“Convenio sobre el cobro internacional de alimentos”) has been enacted.

In order to guarantee the effectiveness of the international recovery of maintenance for children and other family members, the President of the Republic sanctioned Law 2212 of 2022, approving the convention celebrated in The Hague on November 23, 2007. The convention will apply to maintenance obligations in favor of individuals under 21 years of age deriving from a paternal-filial relationship and maintenance obligations between spouses and ex-spouses.

The Social Registry of Households is regulated

By means of a decree issued by the National Planning Department, the Social Registry of Households, created by Legislative Decree 812 of 2020, issued during the State of Social, Economic and Ecological Emergency decreed when Covid-19 Pandemic, was regulated.
The regulation establishes provisions on information, data governance, operating manual and the selection of beneficiaries from the Social Household Registry.
