Most of you are probably familiar with Jocko Willink… The terrifying Navy SEAL, author, and entrepreneur who made the “4 am club” famous (as if the 5 am club wasn’t hard enough!) Every morning… He gets up well before the sun and posts a picture of his watch on Instagram… Motivating his followers to “Get after it”. And I think it's awesome… But one of the unintended consequences of Jocko’s rise to fame… ...Is that thousands of people around the world are now trying to fight against their biology. Waking up several hours before their body is ready... So they can join an elite club of high-performers waking up at an arbitrary time. Problem is… The hour you get up doesn’t matter. What matters is what you do with the hours that you are up. And if you were to put two people toe to toe… One who wakes up at 4 am and spends 3 hours on “self care” And one who wakes up at 8 am and immediately “Eats a frog” (their most important task of the day). I’d bet on the late riser every single time. Listen… I have nothing but respect for guys like Jocko or David Goggins. But the thing is… Most of you reading this don’t actually want to be like Jocko or David. You just want to have enough discipline to finish your work on time, grow your business, and still make it home in time to hang out with your family. And the “early bird vs night owl” conversation is just one of many ways that people who follow Navy SEALs and other hardcore high-performers get wrong. Last week I recorded a short video where I break down the three “secrets” to building more discipline in your life… ...That the Navy SEALs won’t tell you. So if you want to be more disciplined, focused, and productive… Without needing to become this hardcore guy who deadlifts elephants and brushes his teeth with a chainsaw… Just click the link here to check it out.
