View email online | | | | | Oct 28, 2020 | | | | | | Good afternoon, Make the most of the sunny interludes today, it looks like the rest of the week will be a soggy one! I hope everybody is enjoying this half term this week if you are off, I'm probably not alone in going a bit stir crazy working from home, and could do with some fresh air myself! Today we have reported the bid to open up care homes for visitors safely even while we are in the grip of a pandemic. I'm sure this will come as a light at the end of the tunnel for many and if you would like to share your story, please get in touch. The generosity of Lancastrians continues as many respond to the half term child lunch furore - we have have shared as many of the places where children can get a free meal as we can. No you're crying.. we have also shared the heartwarming story of little Florence, a real heart hero. And Chorley's MP Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House, has proved his animal-credentials once more after his cat Patrick was crowned Purr-minister in a competition. His manifesto included impurrtiality and a better work/mouse balance.. On that note, have a lovely Wednesday and don't forget to please subscribe if you would like to help sustainable local journalism - only subscribers get access to our brand new online puzzles launched this week.
