Speed limit changes for four Canberra roads were announced on this day in 1964. The increase from 35 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour was set to apply to: Kings Avenue from Rowen Place to Parkes Way, the dual carriageway of Parkes Way, Morshead Drive to Plant Road in Duntroon, and Commonwealth Avenue from London Circuit to Kaye Street.
