Dreamtime 2017

Tourism Australia’s signature incentive showcase, Dreamtime, will be held in Brisbane from 3 to 6 December 2017. Held biennially, Dreamtime provides Australia’s business events industry with the opportunity to network and do business with qualified international incentive buyers. 

Dreamtime 2015 resulted in over 80 business leads for Australian industry, with 100 per cent of sellers indicating in the post-event survey they were ‘satisfied’ or ‘extremely satisfied’ with Dreamtime.

Greater China Showcase

A record number of 38 Australian industry have registered to attend the Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase and will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Chinese incentive buyers and media at the event, to be held in Chengdu, China from 19 to 21 April 2017. In 2016, more than 80 business leads were generated for Australian industry at the Business Events Australia Greater China Showcase, with 100 per cent of sellers indicating they were ‘satisfied’ to ‘extremely satisfied’ with the event.

Following a Business Events Australia educational visit in May 2016, US-based publication, Meetings and Conventions, has just published Big Projects Abound in Australia, focusing on new and upcoming developments in Australia. In total, more than 90 incentive agents, corporates and media attended 12 Business Events Australia educationals in 2016, which continues to result in earned media coverage for Australia.

Upcoming BEA activity

Nine New Zealand incentive planners and media will head to Brisbane this month on an educational trip hosted by Business Events Australia in partnership with Brisbane Convention Bureau and Virgin Australia. Educational visits, which form part of Business Events Australia’s trade activity, provide international business events decision makers with a first-hand experience of Australian destinations and business events products.

Come and visit the Business Events Australia team at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME), stand 4324. We will be on hand to meet with international buyers and media and chat with Australian industry.

Destination Australia Conference

Registrations are now open for Tourism Australia's Destination Australia Conference, which will be held on Thursday 16 March 2017 in Sydney. The conference includes top speakers from leading organisations.
