The latest iteration of Tourism Australia’s domestic business events campaign, Event Here This Year, launched on 11 February 2021 to drive more business events to restart in Australia by promoting the value of face-to-face events and the breadth and depth of Australia’s offering. Since its launch, the campaign has generated 35 pieces of media coverage; the campaign page has been visited by 678 unique users; and the Industry Toolkit has been downloaded over 153 times. As part of the campaign Tourism Australia is partnering with two of Australia’s major mastheads – The Australian and the Australian Financial Review (AFR) – to help inspire and influence Australia’s corporate decision makers to host their next business event in Australia. In addition to high impact Business Events Australia branded advertisements, an insight piece in the AFR will delve into why businesses should hold events, while content across both titles will further explore Australian business events product and key drivers for event decision making.
