As this is our last newsletter for 2022, I wanted to take the opportunity to extend a sincere thank you for your continued support throughout the year. This past year has been filled with milestones including Australia reopening to the world, and the launch of our new international brand campaign, in addition to this, our international research indicates sentiment is not only positive about the future of events, but also positive about Australia’s desirability. With a raft of international events already confirmed in the calendar for next year, air capacity working its way back to 2019 levels, and a wealth of new product opening across the country, I am hopeful for what 2023 holds for the industry. Heading into the new year, Tourism Australia will continue to focus on helping covert business for Australia through our marketing and distribution activity. This will include a mixture of international trade shows, a familiarisation program to provide international planners and media with the opportunity to experience Australia first-hand, and our own events including the return of Dreamtime, our signature incentive showcase in late 2023. On behalf of the team, I want to wish you a happy holiday season and I look forward to connecting in the new year and continuing to deliver a collaborative program of work to position Australia for long term growth.
