Australia on show in NZ

Highlighting Australia’s excellent food and wine experiences with a focus on people, produce and place, Australian Chef Matt Stone created a five-course degustation menu for 26 key New Zealand corporate decision makers at a dinner last month. Hosted by Business Events Australia and HOT Events, the menu featured uniquely Australian ingredients such as mountain pepper, macadamias and anise myrtle, and was matched with Australian wines.

IMEX Frankfurt

Tourism Australia's Business Events Australia team took full advantage of every opportunity to showcase Australia at one of the world’s biggest events trade shows, IMEX Frankfurt, by sponsoring the media centre, Association Leadership Breakfast Briefing and the Associations Day program. During the show, Business Events Australia also conducted business appointments, media interviews, group training sessions and hosted networking opportunities on the stand.

Business Events Australia has reached more than 300,000 business events planners and decision makers by hosting business events journalists on educational visits this financial year. Recent examples include New Zealand publication Corporate Traveller, and US publication Connect Corporate, who published articles last month highlighting Australian business events destinations and products including Byron Bay, One&Only Wolgan Valley and Sydney.

China educational held in May

Business Events Australia hosted eight corporate decision makers and a business events journalist from Greater China on an educational visit to Sydney and Darwin in May.
