Dreamtime 2015 continues to deliver More than 140 media articles, worth an estimated $22 million in publicity value for Australia, have been generated as a result of Dreamtime 2015 – Tourism Australia’s signature event for the corporate incentive travel market. Adelaide Convention Bureau has reported three incentive groups have already been confirmed as a result of Dreamtime, with a further five currently under consideration. Ninety-five per cent of buyers stated they were more likely to send travelers to Australia as a result of attending Dreamtime. Business Events Australia hits the Mid-West | ||
Over 60 business events buyers from the United States of America had the opportunity to discover why there’s nothing like Australia last month during dedicated training sessions organised by the North American Business Events Australia team. The events were held in Minneapolis and Chicago and included a mix of corporate end users, as well as incentive and association buyers. Feedback from attendees was positive, with many citing increased interest in bringing business to Australia as a result of attending these events. | ||
Meet the team | Yvonne Cheng | ||
This month we introduce you to Yvonne Cheng, who is the Business Events Australia Marketing Executive at Tourism Australia. Yvonne has been at Tourism Australia for more than four years, with experience in roles including: Trade Programs Executive Business Events Australia; and International Operations Coordinator, where she provided business support to international in-market teams. Yvonne works closely with the Australian business events industry, Tourism Australia’s international business events teams and both the Australian-based Marketing and Communications Manager and the Trade Programs Manager on delivering targeted activity to a global business events audience.
