Tourism Australia helps deliver business for Australia

Tourism Australia’s dedicated business events team based in Shanghai is raising awareness of Australia’s business events offering as well as supporting Australian industry in securing incentive events from the Greater China market.

Recent activity includes partnering with Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef to help secure the 2019 Amway China Leadership Seminar. This event will see up to 8,000 delegates visit Cairns in April 2019, injecting an estimated AUD50 million into the economy.

Tourism Australia was recently awarded the China MICE Golden Chair Award for Most Innovative International MICE Destination of the year and the M&C China Award for Best Overseas Meeting & Incentive Destination of the Year (Long Haul), the fifth-time Australia has received this award. These recent wins raise Tourism Australia's tally of awards to four for the Chinese business events market for 2017.
