Grants up to $5,000 - applications open!


Want to improve your business or start-up, but don’t quite have enough funds? If your idea enhances your neighbourhood or involves technology and innovation, you may be eligible for the City’s Business Grants of up to $5,000.

The Economic Development Grants program provides a focus on supporting the local business community through facilitating opportunities for local business, local activity centres and industry to thrive. 
 

What can I apply for?

Grants of up to $5,000 are available in the following streams:
  1. Technology/digital enhancements
  2. Enhancements to local retail and employment centres
  3. Promotion of innovation
  4. Assisting businesses with COVID-19 recovery
Projects must be delivered within 12 months, with an acquittal submitted within one month of completion.


When can I apply?

Please note that Economic Development Grants will be offered ongoing throughout the year, broken into two separate rounds. The first round closes at 4pm on Friday 26 March. Applications will be assessed and awarded on an ongoing basis.
Funding cannot be awarded retrospectively.

Eco Grants

The City's Grants Program financially supports projects, programs or activities that benefit our environment and community. If you have an idea that you think could be benefit from financial assistance then contact the City today. Applications close 26 March.

Sustainability Grants (A Better Tomorrow)
The Sustainability Grants Program provides funding for projects in Cockburn relating to six sustainability themes. Small businesses,  can apply. Successful applicants can apply for up to $4,000 towards the project.

BUsiness Foundations' Fantastic Business Growth Program is back, and is designed to build knowledge, skills, attitudes and confidence in business owners that will enable them to scale up and grow their business. The structure of the program enables business owners to take what they learn and apply it when they are back in their businesses.

The new and improved program has been restructured to provide more choice and flexibility. Now split into 3 modules, each includes 3 full day workshops and 3 hours of one-on-one mentoring with a specialist business consultant.

IWD 2021: Celebrating and recognising Women in Leadership

Join the City of Cockburn for a Morning Tea to celebrate International Women's Day 2021. The IWD2021 theme is Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”.

Hear from our guest speaker Kate Hewett who will share her journey as a business owner and mentor. Her passion is to help women become leaders in the community and build their own streams of income.

We will also launch our inaugural Women in Business program, which offers workshops and mentoring to motivate and guide women who are thinking of starting a business or growing one.
