COVID-19 Marine and Outdoor Tourism Restart Fund Round 2 of the COVID-19 Marine and Outdoor Tourism Restart Fund specifically supports Scottish-based businesses in the marine and outdoor tourism sector which have faced hardship due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Quarter of a million Scottish entrepreneurs set up business in 2020 A quarter of a million people in Scotland were setting up or running new businesses in 2020, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, a survey has found. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) survey estimates that 7.3 per cent of the Scottish population – 247,000 adults – were actively engaged in setting up a business or already running an enterprise established in the last three-and-a-half years. A further 5.7 per cent – 194,000 – were entrepreneurs running more established businesses. Click here to find out more |

Covid-19 Vaccination Certification Coronavirus vaccination certificates will be required to enter certain events and higher risk venues, such as nightclubs, music festivals and some football grounds if Parliament backs the move in a vote planned for next week. While Covid cases continue to rise and to avoid as little disruption to the economy as possible, the Scottish Parliament will be asked to vote on the introduction of the certification scheme which will only be implemented once all adults have had the opportunity to receive both doses of the vaccine. Ductform Works on Fife Ethylene Plant Ductform has been manufacturing and installing HVAC Ductwork for the Fife Ethylene Plant (FEP) in Cowdenbeath.
As part of FEP’s significant investment in the plant, and in keeping with its continued commitment to safety, Ductform was asked to provide 1500mm diameter fully welded, stainless steel ductwork, with 80x80x8mm flanges.
