Hello,

Monday lunchtime is when we round up our main headlines from the weekend.

A revolutionary new junction designed to better protect cyclists and pedestrians is set to be installed at a busy Preston intersection - but highway bosses admit that it may be a minor inconvenience for drivers.

Lancashire County Council’s cabinet has given the green light to a £1.8m redesign of the point where Liverpool Road, Broadgate, Strand Road and Fishergate Hill all meet on the outskirts of the city centre.

That story got you talking, as did good news for foodie fans in and around Preston.

The team at The Ginger Bistro in Fulwood are pinching themselves after a mystery diner put them up for a national award - which they won.

And there’s an inside look at a new Bamber Bridge restaurant from a chef with 30-years' experience cooking in five-star hotels

As for weekend events, our photographers were out and about at Preston’s Race for Life and a Taste of Chorley.

Read all those stories and others you might have missed at the weekend below.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
