| MILITIA PLOT THWARTED The FBI has busted a militia plot to kidnap and murder Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and violently overthrow the state government. At least six men are involved and were arrested on Wednesday.

Shortly after the news broke that the FBI had uncovered and stopped the plot against Gov. Whitmer, journalists on Twitter quickly recalled a mid-April tweet from President Donald Trump shouting 'LIBERATE MICHIGAN!' — and noted that the two do not seem unrelated.
"It's almost like "LIBERATE MICHIGAN" was a dangerously indefensible message for the President of the United States to send..." said one of many on point tweets.
