Governor Gavin Newsom has signed SB 410 in an effort to help ease the state’s adoption of electric vehicles and bolster the readiness of the state’s energy grid for resulting increases in energy demand. Under the bill, the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will be required to establish average and maximum target energization time periods, as well as a way for customers to report energization delays to the PUC. The PUC would be authorized to require utilities to take actions to meet these targets. |
