MEDIA WINNER: Chuck Todd Chuck Todd, the anchor of Meet the Press on NBC News, demonstrated how to handle a tough interview with infamous verbal brawler Jim Jordan over the weekend. During a Sunday interview on Meet the Press, Todd accused the Republican congressman from Ohio, who sits as head of the House Judiciary Committee, of scrutinizing President Joe Biden for his handling of classified documents while largely ignoring former President Donald Trump. Todd proceeded to rattle off a list of instances in which the Justice Department under Trump appeared to either go hard after the former president's enemies or take it easy on his allies. "The problem is that when you look at it is you want to talk about the weaponization of the Justice Department, you don’t want to look at anything that happened during the Trump years," Todd said to Jordan, later questioning the discrepancy. Jordan completely ignored the question. He instead steered the conversation on to what was, for him, much friendlier ground — the recent revelations about the FBI’s relationship with Twitter via the Twitter Files. Later in the interview, which earned praise from several liberal pundits, Todd challenged Jordan on his belief that Trump wasn’t given a fair shake. Todd went on to push back at Jordan for decrying the fact that the FBI raided Trump's residence and not Biden's. “Because Biden didn’t defy a subpoena, Congressman!" Todd exclaimed. Although Jordan remained stubborn, Todd denounced the congressman for applying a double standard while providing facts and clarity on the stories. |
