MEDIA LOSER: Fox News host Pete Hegseth and contributor Mike Huckabee
The rest of the Murdoch empire may have moved on from Donald Trump, but his support remains blindingly strong among some of the more sycophantic voices on Fox News.
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity invited Trump backers Pete Hegseth and Mike Huckabee on to discuss Trump's 2024 campaign for the White House on Tuesday night, and they did not waste a second to rally behind the former president.
Just days after the Republican Party largely turned on Trump due to the turnout of the midterm elections, Hegseth and Huckabee went back to fawning over the former president -- for a speech that was universally panned as uninspiring and incoherent.
"This looks like Trump in as good of form as you have ever seen him, sticking to the issues that matter to his voters and making the case to the Republican primary voters he is the guy to be the standard-bearer, as the original who remade the party," Hegseth said.
"If he keeps on like this tonight, he is unbeatable in 2024," Huckabee added, piling on the praise. "Nobody can touch him. Not a Republican. Not a Democrat."
Other pundits and observers, including several conservative figures, disagreed with the unreasonably sycophantic praise.
In fact, they were highly critical of the speech, and labeled it as bland, dispirited, and “low energy.” |
