MEDIA WINNER: Dagen McDowell and Sean Duffy Fox Business hosts Dagen McDowell and Sean Duffy are already pulling in impressive ratings with their new show The Bottom Line. The show, co-hosted by McDowell and Duffy, was launched on Jan. 23 and airs weekdays on Fox Business at 6 p.m., with CNBC’s Mad Money with Jim Cramer as its main timeslot rival. The hosts tend to put a political or cultural spin on business news, sometimes interviewing everyday people and business owners about policy over lawmakers themselves. Just a couple weeks in and The Bottom Line has already notched its second weekly win over CNBC. The Fox Business hosts brought the network an average of 179,000 total viewers, compared to CNBC's 154,000 -- marking a 16 percent advantage. The Bottom Line has also secured double-digit growth year over year, closing January with 236,000 viewers, which topped Mad Money by 55 percent. The ratings continued into February, with The Bottom Line besting CNBC for a second week in a row. Major kudos to the fresh hosts for delivering impressive growth to their network. |
