Media Winners & Losers

MEDIA WINNER:
Fox's Stuart Varney

Fox Business' Stuart Varney was impressively persistent while pressingRepublican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on the GOP's lacking midterm performance this year.

The host didn't hold back throughout the interview, asking McDaniel if she would “publicly say Donald Trump bears any responsibility for some of the losses in the midterm elections?”

McDaniel was clearly reluctant to pin any culpability on the former president, saying, "I don’t like this. I don’t like these parceling out."

"He supported Ted Budd, who won. He supported JD Vance who won. I think there’s a lot of things," she added.

"But here is the one thing I think people should be talking about: the amount of ticket-splitting ... why are Republicans voting for one Republican and not the other?"

Varney interjected to suggest that the answer is “Trump.”

“Isn’t that the answer?” he asked. “The answer is Trump, isn’t it?”

McDaniel, again, refused to play the "blame game," instead asking to focus on stopping the "infighting" within the Republican Party.

Her refusal to answer Varney's questions about Trump and the midterms is telling in itself, as the interview comes amid recurring discussions about whether the former president should run for office again or remain a leader of the GOP.

Meanwhile, McDaniel is facing dissent from GOPers who say she ought to be replaced as RNC chief in light of November’s disappointments.

MEDIA LOSER:
TheBlaze's Alex Stein

Far-right troll Alex Stein was forcibly kicked out of the Barstool Sports headquarters on Monday morning after he burst into the office and demanded to speak with founder Dave Portnoy.

Stein was accompanied by a half-naked man he identified as, “His wife’s boyfriend” Dontarius, and he later posted video of the encounter on Twitter despite how deeply embarrassing it is.

“We’re here looking for Dave,” Stein says in the four-minute-long video, also complaining about comments Barstool Sports’ Francis Ellis made about Fox News in a recent hot mic moment.

Stein continued to shout for Portnoy as he walked through the offices, while Dontarius provoked employees in the space.

"Francis Ellis, don’t make fun of Tucker Carlson," Stein shouted. "Francis, Do not make fun of Tucker. Do not make fun of Tucker.”

The cringe-worthy prank eventually prompted Barstool Sports employees and security to push both trespassers out of the office space.

The fight spilled into the elevator hallway as Stein and Dontarius continued to taunt the Barstool employees behind the glass doors. Actress and host Tiko Texas got involved in the chaos and was pulled away by security at one point.

She did, however, manage to knock the hat off Stein's head and slap him across the face while yelling, "Get in the f*cking elevator ho."

The encounter is hard to watch, especially when considering it was some bizarre attempt at a Christmas prank by a man pushing 40.
