MEDIA LOSER: Barstool Sports' Francis Ellis Barstool Sports star Francis Ellis might have to say farewell to guest appearances on Fox News after a recent bombshell hot mic moment. He once had a solid relationship with the network, appearing as a guest several times and most recently sitting down with Jesse Watters on Monday. But that all changed Tuesday, thanks to an apparent editing error in an episode of the Barstool Rundown podcast. Mediaite obtained unedited audio of the episode, which was published online and then quickly removed by Barstool. After signing off at the end of the show, co-host Adam Ferrone asked Ellis about his latest appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, promptingEllis to launch into a tirade against the network and its top hosts. “Look, I got home. I talked to my wife about it cause I was disappointed in myself and she was like, ‘Let’s be honest, like, do you want to be working with these f*cking people?’ She was like, ‘I watched the rest of his show — he’s a fucking joke,'” Ellis said of Watters after his appearance. Although someone from the audio engineering noted that the mics were "still rolling," Ellis continued by taking aim at Tucker Carlson. “And then like, Tucker comes on and just screams,” he said, adding, “They’re just trafficking in hate." Ellis later expressed fear that Fox News' audience would not understand his political jokes were indeed jokes. Well, that might not even matter considering Ellis will most likely be banned from the network thanks to his scathing rant. |
