BREAKING: California Attorney General: We're Prepared to Ask Supreme Court to Review ACA Decision

The statement came shortly after the Fifth Circuit released a highly anticipated decision that declared the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate unconstitutional.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra has led a coalition of states seeking to defend the ACA against a legal challenge launched by a Texas-led coalition and backed by the Trump administration.

Becerra said his team is 'prepared to file a cert petition with the U.S. Supreme Court' to challenge Wednesday's ruling from the Fifth Circuit.

The decision remands the case back to the District Court for further proceedings to unpack the various provisions of the sprawling legislation. Read the full story...
