Canadian Business and the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship are joining forces on a first-of-its-kind recognition program. Submit your company for consideration for our inaugural New Innovators List, celebrating the trailblazing companies that are challenging the status quo and redefining what it means to be truly innovative—in their products and services, in how they do business and in their social and environmental impact.
The program recognizes Canadian companies—whether well-established global businesses or early-stage startups—that are leading their sector by addressing market needs while prioritizing progressive values. Specifically, New Innovators are companies that:
- Embed innovation as a key element of their business model
- Actively work toward minimizing negative environmental impact
- Have measurable goals in place that address workplace inequities and team wellbeing
- Consider their product(s)/service(s) as vehicles for progressive industry and social change
The most compelling submissions will be featured in the January 2022 issue of the newly relaunched Canadian Business magazine, online at canadianbusiness.com and celebrated through a multi-day Innovators Summit and Innovators Awards this winter. Companies that are selected for the list will benefit from multi-channel media coverage across the St. Joseph Communications media suite—including Maclean's and Toronto Life in addition to Canadian Business—exclusive networking connections and events, and ongoing thought-leadership opportunities.
