Can Colleges Boost Male Enrollment?
 
The gender gap in college enrollment has been growing for decades and has only worsened during the pandemic. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, male undergraduate enrollment fell by nearly 7 percent in the fall of 2020 (nearly three times as much as female enrollment). The decline was the steepest — and the gender gap the largest — among students of color attending community colleges.
