New Build America Caucus brings 'abundance agenda' to Congress
Can Congress really make America build again?
Excessive federal regulations have presented obstacles to growth in recent years, according to a bipartisan group in Congress. But one Utah representative has hope in the future.
Brigham Tomco reports that The Build America Caucus recruited Utah Rep. Celeste Maloy earlier this month to help transform the “Abundance Agenda” into legislative action.
Here are some key points from his article:
The Build America Caucus aims to remove government obstacles to housing, energy and infrastructure.
Maloy says these obstacles are especially present in Utah, where affordable housing has become a top concern.
Democrats and Republicans have joined forces to address frustration toward excessive permitting processes.

Utahns may want to start cutting back on their infamous soda habits.
According to researchers at Brigham Young University, sugary drinks are worse for your health than sugary foods. Their new study, published in the journal Advances in Nutrition, involved nearly half a million people and has been called the “largest and most comprehensive meta-analysis of its kind.”
Here are some of the report’s findings:
Sugar-sweetened beverages raise the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Drinking sugar is drastically riskier than eating sugar due to its impact on the liver.
Not all sugars are equally risky.
Sugar is not a “nutritional villain” on its own, according to one researcher.
