This Code Challenge (sponsored by Programming Research) is your chance test your programming skills. Find the error in the code below for a shot to win prizes, such as an Amazon Gift Card or a Circuit Cellar magazine digital subscription.
July Challenge
The following is a sample piece of code that has a subtle programming error that would cause the software to fail.  This code is a C language program. Specification:
  • If we list all the natural numbers below 10 that are multiples of 3 or 5, we get 3, 5, 6 and 9. The sum of these multiples is 23.
  •  Find the sum of all the multiples of 3 or 5 below 1000.
Find the error in the code and submit your answer via the online form.
About the Challenge
Each month, Circuit Cellar and Programming Research (PRQA) will challenge you to find an error in a snippet of code that's posted on the Code Challenge webpage. Find the error in the code and submit your answer via the online form by the deadline (2 PM EST on the 20th of the month). Circuit Cellar will randomly select winners from the pool of respondents who submit the correct answer. Winners and answers will be posted online. Read the Rules, Terms, & Conditions.

Prizes
Out of each month's group of entrants who correctly find the error in the code, one person will be randomly selected to win an Amazon.com Gift Card from PRQA. A second person will be randomly selected to win a free 1-year digital subscription to Circuit Cellar magazine.
