It was a big day for members of the 1st Lake Ginninderra Sea Scout Group Cub Pack on this day in 1977, when they met the Queen at the War Memorial as part of her Silver Jubilee tour. The royal couple later attended a luncheon at Government House, where the Chancellor of the Order of Australia presented the Queen with the Sovereign's Badge - a wattle flower set in gold with yellow diamonds. READ MORE
