Cancellations mount as Irma winds affect ATL; airports assess damage

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines canceled about 900 flights Sept. 11 as crosswinds from Tropical Storm Irma are expected to impact Delta’s hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Airberlin to cut all Caribbean long-haul routes

German carrier airberlin, which filed for bankruptcy last month, is to close all of its long-haul routes to the Caribbean from Sept. 25 because of cuts to its long-haul fleet.
