It’s still quite early into 2017, but there’s a good chance that the upcoming closure of Canelé in Atwater Village will go down as one of the saddest shutters of the year. The absolutely beloved neighborhood gem helped anchor the Eastside ‘hood for a decade, but will move on due to rising rents in the area.
