This week, the U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation to expand cannabis research, sending it to the Senate for possible consideration.
The bipartisan Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act, which cleared the House July 26 with 325 votes, aims to streamline the application process for researchers and remove FDA barriers.
As we await Senate action on the bill, experts will join us at Cannabis Conference next month at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino to share the latest advances in medical cannabis research. Dr. Angela Bryan, Associate Chair for Faculty Development at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Dr. Paloma Lehfeldt, Senior Director of Clinical Science & Partnerships at Goodness Growth Holdings, will speak on Aug. 23 about the latest developments in their in-progress and recently completed clinical trials in the areas of chronic pain and opioid reduction, cannabinoids and fertility, and palliative care for non-small cell lung cancer.
Regular registration rates expire today! Learn more and register at www.cannabisconference.com.
