Prestonians sniff out cannabis farm A large cannabis farm containing around 600 mature plants was discovered by police following a drugs raid in Preston. Officers executed a warrant at a premises near Church Street after members of the public reported "a strange smell" emanating from the area. Openreach creates 255 new jobs in the region Openreach today bucked the prevailing economic trend by creating at least 255 new North West engineering jobs.
