Lucy Balona, Joseph Cotty and Marlene Nieuwenhoudt Lucy Balona – Living the CANSA Brand CANSA Active is proud of our Head of Marketing and Communication, Lucy Balona who will be taking part in the 2023 Totalsports Two Oceans Half Marathon. She shares the reason behind her support of CANSA Active and her participation in the event: “Staying healthy and fit is one of the ways we can lead a balanced lifestyle. My regular runs during the week and long runs on a weekend, is what gets keeps me having #FeelGoodFun. Being part of CANSA Active can be inspiring and helping to keep me strong and fit So many CANSA Active Champions are running, cycling or swimming for someone they know impacted by cancer or they themselves have a story to tell of how they have overcome cancer. Often when faced with a challenge at work or home, a run helps me think better and I sometimes find solutions. That’s when I am not chatting or laughing with my fellow runners…. Running and being part of CANSA Active, also leads me to meet people from all walks of life, all cultures, and different backgrounds – the common thread is to be active and enjoy sport and with CANSA Active, you get to support the CANSA cause! I know that the funds raised by CANSA Active Champions are helping more people to access vital cancer risk-reduction info, screening and care and support.” How Your Gift Helps Fight CancerIncome received from CANSA Active campaigns is used to support CANSA’s service to those affected by cancer.
