IMAGE INQUIRY: At least two New Orleans area stores have received subpoenas from a federal grand jury, and been questioned by FBI agents, about purchases made by Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s image consultant, according to representatives of the businesses.
COLD FRONT: A month early, winter arrived overnight. Temperatures were expected to drop as low as 25 degrees on the north shore and to about 40 degrees south of Lake Pontchartrain, the result of clouds clearing and dry air arriving in southeast Louisiana.
JUSTICE DELAYED: Yet another New Orleans murder conviction from decades past was overturned Thursday, in part because a police detective altered the statement of the lone eyewitness. As a result, Raymond Flanks walked out of the courthouse a free man, after almost 39 years in prison.
