FORECAST IN DETAIL

The stubborn front that kept clouds and shower chances around Thursday and Friday is safely south. Both today and Sunday, we benefit from high pressure to the north which yields more sunshine and lower humidity compared to the preceding days. Humidity starts to build back up early next week ahead of the next front moving into the region which will introduce new opportunity for showers and storms.

Today (Saturday): Areas of fog are possible early, but skies should turn partly to mostly sunny in most places by mid-morning. Temperatures are comfortably warm, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Humidity drops a notch but is still in the moderate range with dew points in the low 60s. Winds are light from the east. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): We’ll have lots of sunshine from start to finish and humidity may decrease a hair compared to Saturday (dew points in the upper 50s). Highs are again in the low-to-mid 80s, with a light wind from the southeast. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Skies are mostly clear and temperatures may be a degree or two milder than Saturday night as humidity slowly climbs overnight. Lows range from near 60 in our cooler suburbs to the mid-to-upper 60s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

A LOOK AHEAD

Humidity becomes more noticeable on Monday (dew points in the mid-to-upper 60s) as winds from the south ahead of an approaching front draw in some moisture. It’s partly sunny and warm, with highs in the mid- to upper 80s. Late in the afternoon and early evening, some showers and thunderstorms are possible. Lows Monday night hover near 70. Confidence: Medium

Monday’s front may get hung up in our eastern areas on Tuesday, keeping the region on the humid side while also providing a possible trigger for some showers or storms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Skies are variably cloudy, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Confidence: Medium
