FORECAST IN DETAIL Bright winter sunshine dominates our landscape as large lumbering high pressure slowly moves across with its gradually warming air mass in tow. After today, above normal temperatures return to carry us into the holiday weekend. We get a slight chance of showers Thursday and then another round for Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, but it is more of a nuisance than a hindrance. Today (Tuesday): Mostly sunny skies are the rule, with milder temperatures midday and during the afternoon after a cold morning start. Highs range in the lower to middle 40s with light breezes mainly from the south. Confidence: High Tonight: We have clear skies again, but it’s not quite as cold as last night, with lows ranging from near 20 in the outer suburbs to around 30 right in the city. Winds remain light.
