FORECAST IN DETAIL

That summer sensation is back! You’ll be tempted to break out the shorts as we roll even warmer in the coming days. The 80s prevail through Thursday before a cool front brings autumn back. There’s a chance for much-needed rain Thursday into Friday, followed by a cooler, drier weekend.

NICE DAY USE THIS ONE nice_day

Today (Tuesday): It’s our second Nice Day qualifier of the week as temperatures find their way to the lower to middle 80s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Light breezes blow from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Humidity will be slightly higher than yesterday but still relatively low compared with summer standards. Confidence: High

Tonight: Just a few clouds about but comfortable warmth overall, with lows ranging through the 60s along with light winds from the southwest. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Partly to sometimes mostly sunny and a notch warmer. Highs will into the middle 80s, but a few spots could break into the upper 80s. Humidity is just a touch higher, with dew points in the middle to potentially upper 60s in the afternoon. You may feel compelled to run the air conditioner if you haven’t already. Light winds again from the southwest. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy and quite warm for this time of year, with lows ranging through the 60s. Confidence: Medium-high

A LOOK AHEAD

Thursday looks partly cloudy and warm along with some scattered showers.  Highs are around 80 (which is still about 15 degrees warmer than normal!).  Thursday night should be partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and lows around 60.  Confidence: Medium

Friday fades cooler with still some lingering showers. Highs in the low to middle 70s under mostly cloudy skies. Friday night should be cloudy and cooler with more scattered showers as lows drop toward the upper 40s to low 50s.  Confidence: Medium

The weekend looks cooler and drier, with partly sunny skies on Saturday as highs aim for the lower 60s before mostly sunny skies and middle to upper 60s by Sunday (the better day).  Lows Saturday night range through the crisp 40s under partly cloudy skies. Confidence: Medium
