TODAY’S DAILY DIGIT
A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

9/10: After a cool start, sunny low-to-mid 60s are pretty easy to enjoy thanks to less wind.

EXPRESS FORECAST

Today: Sunny. Highs: Low-to-mid 60s.
Tonight: Mostly to partly clear. Lows: Mid-40s to low 50s.
Tomorrow: Partly to mostly cloudy, afternoon shower? Highs: 70s.

FORECAST IN DETAIL

That pesky and persistent wind of the past couple days settles down today, making it easier to enjoy clear skies and afternoon 60s. Tomorrow brings warmer 70s followed by shower and storm chances late tomorrow and Friday. We’ll stay on the warm side Friday, before a somewhat cooler Saturday and even cooler Sunday.

Today (Wednesday): High pressure provides blue skies and bright sunshine, giving a nice lift to temperatures that start the morning in the 30s to near 40. By lunchtime we’re in the 50s with afternoon highs reaching the low-to-mid 60s. Winds are light and variable in direction during the morning, then around 10 mph from the south during the afternoon. Confidence: High

Tonight: Skies start mostly clear, perhaps turning partly cloudy overnight. It’s a rather mild one, with a continued breeze from the south keeping lows up in the mid-40s to low 50s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Thursday): Skies turn partly to mostly cloudy as a cold front approaches, and by afternoon there’s a slight chance of a shower. Highs surge into the 70s as breezes from the south increase to near 15 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Shower chances increase to 40% with a thunderstorm possible as well, as southerly winds ramp up the humidity levels. The southerly flow keeps us very mild with lows only dipping to the 60s. Confidence: Low-Medium

A LOOK AHEAD

Scattered showers are a decent bet on Friday (60% chance) with a thunderstorm possible too. As of now, it seems likely we’ll still be on the warm side of the front, which means breezy southerly winds sending highs back into the 70s. Shower chances should diminish Friday night with lows in the 40s. Confidence: Low-Medium

Skies turn at least partly sunny for Saturday, and it looks rather breezy with highs in the 60s. Can’t rule out a passing shower Saturday night, as a colder air mass building in from the northwest drops lows to the upper 30s to low 40s. That sets the stage for a partly to mostly sunny and breezy Sunday, with highs only in the 50s. Confidence: Medium
