2. As the number of people using bicycles for transportation grows, penalties are generally light for motorists who hit cyclists. Sometimes even when the law calls for tough penalties, drivers are let off with a ticket or small fine. (AP via Pioneer Press)

3. How many times have I written this in the past six months? Republican leaders are mapping out a strategy to prevent Donald Trump from winning the Republican presidential nomination. If they can’t stop him this time, they’re preparing to run a third party candidate in November. (New York Times)

4. Hillary Clinton and her allies are preparing to use Trump’s business record and controversial statements to convince voters that he is unfit for the presidency. Her campaign believes it will be a Clinton-Trump race in November. (Washington Post)

5. President Obama is in Cuba today, the first time a president has visited since Calvin Coolidge. So far Obama has been greeted warmly, but the government there arrested a number of dissidents before he arrived on Sunday. (New York Times)
