Posted at 6:38 am by Mike Mulcahy

Good morning and welcome to another work week. Here’s the Digest.

1. The Minnesota legislative session begins tomorrow, and just about all the big issues seem stuck just where they were when the last session ended. (MPR News)

2. One of the first items on the legislative to-do list is extending unemployment benefits for laid off Iron Range workers. (Star Tribune)

3. It was like sitting at the grown up table compared to the Republicans last week, but the Democratic candidates for president got in a few digs as they debated last night in Flint, Michigan. (CNN)

4. Bernie Sanders won three out of four states contested by the Democrats over the weekend, but Hillary Clinton won the big prize and still leads in delegates. (NPR)

5. Marco Rubio had a bad weekend, as Ted Cruz won more states and seemed poised to position himself as the alternative to Donald Trump. So, what’s up with the Rubio campaign? (Washington Post)
