By placing demands on yourself that you may not be able to follow through on, you may actually place more pressure than is necessary on yourself and could find it more difficult to get things done thoroughly. Perhaps you can work on cultivating patience today both with yourself and others by repeating a simple affirmation throughout the day, such as "Things are fine as they are" or "I am doing well," while taking deep, healing abdominal breaths. Reassuring yourself whenever you begin to feel agitated could not only bring you greater peace of mind, but it might also help you see just how much you have accomplished in your life. Realizing that what we are able to do is in and of itself enough allows us to create realistic expectations of ourselves.
