The high expectations you have of yourself could make you feel impatient with the way things are going today. By placing demands on yourself that you may not be able to follow through on, you may actually place more pressure than is necessary on yourself and could find it more difficult to get things done thoroughly. Perhaps you can work on cultivating patience today both with yourself and others by repeating a simple affirmation throughout the day, such as "Things are fine as they are" or "I am doing well," while taking deep, healing abdominal breaths. Reassuring yourself whenever you begin to feel agitated could not only bring you greater peace of mind, but it might also help you see just how much you have accomplished in your life.

Realizing that what we are able to do is in and of itself enough allows us to create realistic expectations of ourselves. Since we receive so many messages around us that we have to always push ourselves further in order to succeed, it is easy for us to get frustrated with the progress we might feel is lacking in our own lives. Gently reminding ourselves that we are doing well, though, slows us down enough to realistically evaluate our life\'s progress and recognize the various gains we have, in fact, made toward manifesting our dreams. By creating a more realistic view of your goals, you will understand just how much you have going for you today.
